Storie (Argyll) Ltd has been a privately owned civil engineering contractor in Argyll and the West of Scotland for over forty years.

Storie was founded in 1968 by Stuart Storie, working as a main contractor to Argyll and Bute Council, Scottish Water and local businesses and also as a specialist sub contractor to larger main contractors.

Developing a proven track record in roads, bridges, water mains, bulk earthworks, sewers and concrete works often in remote location we have successfully delivered projects to meet our client’s needs.

To add to the forty years of history Storie (Argyll) now have a new management to take the company forward and provide a better, brighter and more dynamic future for the company to provide specialist engineering services for Dunoon and the surrounding area.

The business is now managed by two men with respected track records in the Scottish Civil Engineering and Building industries. Storie are now owned jointly between Garry Ward and Ian McNee. Garry has been working in the Civil Engineering Industry across Britain for the last 24 years and Ian McNee has successfully run the Stewart McNee (Dunoon) building company for over thirty years.

Between them they can deliver for clients a quality product on time and budget. Bringing all their expertise and value engineering skills to every project Storie aim to deliver the right product right first time and gain repeat business through the trust of their key clients.

With a history of carrying out contracts in value between £10k up to £2.5million from traditional tendered contracts to design and build and framework contracts Storie have the in house expertise to successfully deliver solutions for even the most complex contracts.
